Site Noise Monitoring and Noise Modelling
Dandara is one of the UK’s largest independent property development companies with over 10,000 happy customers and more than 100 industry awards for design and quality.
They appointed Acoustic Consultants Limited to carry out a site noise monitoring survey and noise modelling exercise to support a planning application for a residential development at Crichie, Inverurie, Scotland.
The development is a mixed-use development comprising up to 737 dwelling houses, business and industrial development, community facilities including primary school and retail development and associated infrastructure.
The noise impact assessment has been undertaken in accordance with Aberdeenshire Council guidance ‘SGN 2 New Development: Submission Guidance Note on the Information required for an Assessment of the Noise Impact of Proposed New Developments to be undertaken in Connection with a Planning Application (20/01/2016)’, PAN1/2011, British Standard 8233:2014 (BS8233) and British Standard 4142:2014 (BS4142).
Predictions of noise on the proposed development have been made using the proprietary noise prediction software CadnaA® (Computer Aided Noise Abatement) developed by Datakustik.
