The Lusail Towers scheme in Qatar will be a mix-use development however, the towers will be mainly office spaces. Towers 1 and 2 are 50 storeys high and towers 3 and 4 are 70 storeys high.
The four skyscrapers are to be the headquarters for Qatar National Bank, Qatar Central Bank, Qatar Investment Authority and Qatari Diar. The towers will be built in the new development of Lusail City to the north of Doha and the aim is to complete in time for the 2022 FIFA World Cup which will be hosted at the newly built 80,000-seat stadium nearby.
Semaan & Soberman Engineering appointed Acoustic Consultants Limited to review and provide acoustic advice for the Design Development (DD) stage on the M&E services, plant and equipment for the twin towers 3& 4 and Podium buildings within the proposed mix-use development.
Various international and local standards were used for this project including ASHRAE, BS, ANSI, GSAS, BCO – Offices, etc and the Client/ Operator own requirements.
