The Three Rivers Academy, Surrey

A £30 million 9FE secondary school providing traditional and independent learning spaces in separate ‘houses’ off a large continuous mall space.

We used computer modelling and in-house Virtual Reality auralisations to assess the acoustic qualities of the common mall.

Noise from a nearby railway line, Heathrow flightpath and the inroom MVHR were assessed and mitigated to meet the BB93 criteria.

The school is a finalist in the World Architecture Festival awards.
