The new development comprises of a change of use from commercial office building use to residential use over five floors. The lower ground floor houses offices and apartments, the ground floor houses retail and apartments whilst the upper levels are all apartments.
We were appointed early on by Neptune to provide noise and acoustic advice. This included pre-works testing, Approved Document E design advice and post construction sound tests to ANC certification system.
Due to the age of the building there were a number of existing features which were to be retained, this required a more complex acoustic design. The scheme was a success with all tests meeting the requirements of Approved Document ‘E’
