We consistently complete a high percentage of all the ANC tests across the UK each year.
We were the first independent practice within the south west of England to be registered under the Association of Noise Consultants (ANC).
There are two main methods of testing for residential schemes, these are UKAS and ANC. We are fully accredited by the ANC and such can provide you with building regulations approved reports for your building completion, effectively, quickly and accurately.
We have over 30 years of experience which means that your project will be expertly dealt with from start to finish. We are not just a testing body; we are a consultancy. Where there is a failure on site, we aim to investigate the cause of failure and identify potential remedial measures required before leaving site. This not only provides you a better quality service, it also reduces your costs.
Our efficient sound insulation testing fully complies with Part E of the Building Regulations for England and Wales (Approved Document E). We have developed in house software which enables us to complete all testing and reporting whilst on site. As such, completion certificate (on the ANC advance website) turnaround times can be less than 1 hour after completing site work.
Since our inception we have carried out sound insulation testing on numerous construction types including traditional masonry builds, timber frame, Steel Frame Systems (SFS) and within Listed Buildings. We have also undertaken testing for constructions to be approved Robust Details.
All our testers are as a minimum, Technical members of the Institute of Acoustics (TechIOA). As part of their ongoing professional development, testers are regularly assessed by senior members; kept up to date with new guidance and practices; attend seminars; encouraged to research new equipment; and witnessed on site regularly by ourselves or the ANC.
As the company is ANC accredited and with all testers being members of the Institute of Acoustics (IOA) we are recognised as suitably qualified acousticians (SQA) within BREEAM, Code for Sustainable Homes and the Home Quality Mark. We are fully equipped to carry out post-construction sound insulation tests for Building Regulations, Code for Sustainable Homes (CfSH), BREEAM, and Ecohomes.
